Data Dots?

For the guys who have had the data dots done to your max's, how long did it take the dealer where you brought it to get the data dots and clips in? I brought my car in a month ago, not only did they loose the paper work I received from nissan to do the job, but they denied even me putting it in the night drop off envelope. Good thing I made a copy! After having a pi$$ing contest w/ them they finally agreed that the recall letter putained to my max. They said they would order them. 3 weeks went by and I called them. They told me they were ordered and they would call me when they came in. It's been about a month now and no phone call, so I decided to call Nissan North America and complain. The guy said that it shouldn't have taken that long and to go to another dealer for the recall. Why is something this easy so damn difficult and agrivating for us nissan owners?

Dude, take it to a different dealer...All Nissan service centers KNOW about the program in the NE....Call the number or contact Nissan NA, get them to resend the letter and go back to the dealer....

OR...Just go to a different dealer with the copy....

OR...talk to the the dealership owner....they can usually convince the service dept to do reacall work...albeit in a nasty manner....

Yeah.....gona have to! Thing is it took me a year to find a dealer that was decent. They had to change there service manager. Seems like that was a bad decision.

Under 3 hours total...dropped it off around 8:30am and picked it up around 11am the same day. In that time they did the data dot TSB, yearly inspection and tire rotation. I don't know...maybe because I'm near Philly they already had the data dot parts on site...but I wouldn't think any dealer on the east coast should have to order them. A month is a ridiculous amount of time too since we're not exactly talking about rare or expensive parts here.
