PCV Replacement Question

I changed my PCV valve today on my 2K maxima. But since it is so far into the engine, under the manifold, I couldn't pull out like in my 95 Maxima with my fingers. I had to use a wrench.

Anyways, it slipped as I was taking it out, and the old PCV valve fell down somewhere into the car. I can't see it, but the car drives fine. Is is OK to forget about it, or should I have someone look at this? It's on the driver's side, so it's not near any belts, according to the AutoZone guy. Thanks.

What brand did you use to replace it with? Purolator?

I guess you can just let it go. It may just fall off later as you drive around.

It was the AutoZone brand. After wiping the end with a drop of olive oil, it went in with no problems. But I don't know why Nissan put it so out of the way. Anyways, thanks for the responses.

Anyone got part# for a 2002 - 2003 Maxima PCV valve?

I went to NAPA, Pep Boys and Advanced Auto...none of them had one for either year.

PCV = Positive Cranckcase Ventilation. It draws any excessive blowby from the upper cylinder head into the intake mainifold.
