2002 - 2003 Highest Mileage

The thread on the timing chain got me thinking about long term damage. Who has the highest mileage and are you having any problems with the timing chain rattle (worse than when the car was new)?

At 26,500 I doubt I have the highest mileage on my 2k2. So who does?

I've got a rattling marbles sound when in gear at speeds better than 40MPH on my 6sp '02. When I take the shifter out of gear the sound goes away. Is that timing chain rattle? Anyone give more details including any TSB?

Thanks,

Bob

34K here....just dropped the bish off to the stealership for split bearing on pass/front end and warped rotors.....

But i think it has to do with the fact that i put these miles on in 16 months.....

I have 34K on my 2003. Need new rear pads, and probably now front rotors as they are starting to wobble a bit. Already had a failed front wheel bearing. Also had the Hesitation TSB done, and am about to have the sensors recall done...

Just had the same issue with the tranny. They replaced my VB and it has corrected my issues. In fact it was never right from day one as she drives like a completely different car.

Do you think the Data Dots campaign is making a difference down there? I live in MA and had it done even though it's not a problem up here.

23k on my 02. My dad's going to let me start driving it in a few months since he puts too many miles on it in a short span of time.

Damn, you got me beat!! I got 12,1xx miles on my 2k2 6 speed. I think my 5th gear probably has about 5,000 miles on it, and 6th gear probably got 1,000 miles. lol

42K 0n my 2002... Except for two BOSE head replacements, recalls, and warped rotors... no other issues.

I don't blame the two HID thefts on the car!!!

The car spends most of its days in the garage now while I wait for the Datadots to catch on with thieves.
