In case anyone is interested, someone in the NY area is selling their 2003 OEM fog lights with HIDs in them.

I wonder what kind of bulbs are in there. I was thinking about doing this to my fogs. Can a D2R capsule fit in the housing? I know it needs to be modified, but can it be done. I would want them to match my headlights exactly.

I ended up getting the right one to replace one on my car that is broken. Got outbid for the left side by about $15. Turned out okay since I didn't really need the other one. Guess thats what the other guy was doing too.

But how do you know the back isn't hacked up at all, to fit the HID bulb and stuff in the housing?

holy crap, $110 for both sides w/HIDs? You can't even get new housings w/halogens for that much.
Highly likely that they're probably stolen though (NY area and all).

The housing pretty much has to be hacked up. I had the same setup before some idiot hit my front. I had my 2k2 HID's damaged in another housing so I had the bodyshop order new ones and I swapped the system from the damaged ones to the fogs.

HIDs are sweet... but illegal. That's why they are so cheap... they have to get them all sold or they are in trouble with the law. It happened to www.hids4u.com or whatever they were called. If you get caught with aftermarket HID's in your car (trust me, it's pretty obvious to a cop when you pull up with suuper bright headlights) you're in deep sh*t. I'd rather have some Demon Eyes from Umnitza. I have them and I adore them... I get so many looks!
Go to www.umnitza.com and check them out... if you order, tell them jlevi sent you... they'll know you are a VIP
