2k3 Titanium Radio ? (Aftermarket Install)

Has anyone installed a Double DIN receiver in their maxima. I have an 03 SE Max w/ the titanium edition, and around the dash it's like a polished silver around the radio - anyone know of a good dash kit / installation kit for a double din radio?

Also - has anyone bought the PAC SWI-X Steering Wheel Control Interface for a aftermarket headunit in order to use the factory steering wheel controls?

If So - where exactly did u mount the LED (Pix would b niceif possible), and how good does it work?

Thanks,

I bought the sosche, and it was a flimsy peice of junk...

I then bought the 2000 GXE vent kit...it has a double din opening...

it's an OEM Nissan interior part, so you know its quality.

Dave B had it shipped to me via UPS, it got to me in a couple of days..

to match my Titanium Edition color (the 2000 GXE kit is black, not Silver (errr Titanium) I just had it painted...

Take the vent/bose radio to a shop, and have them color match...it's looks MUCH better than the sosche, but costs a bit more.

I guess it depends on what you want.

If you want the sosche, I'll send you the one I'm not using...just pay for shipping, because otherwise it's going in the trash...I am going to use the OEM 2000 GXE part.

I called Dave Burnett and got that piece today, I'm hoping it will match good with the headunit I'm going to put it. This kit is made for a double din radio, so if i install a double din radio - it should have a factory-fit look right?

BTW - call Scosche - b/c i bought the came cheap a** kit, and i told them it was crap, and they said i could return it 4 my $ back

02 / 03 maximas doesn't use a double din radio it's just an oversized radio. So don't waste your money on a double din radio unless ur ready to do some major modification to your center console/dash.

Where are you getting your information from..

All you need is a dash kit from scoshe. Double din is easy.. I have double din.

Do you have any pictures of the radio with the titanium colored paint? I think a lot of people here would be interested to see how it looks.

well, ok, I guess I should say that I am GOING to have it painted...

it should be done tuesday, and if someone will host them for me, I'll be glad to post them...

gtbigup-

when you get the sosche or metra, or even the 2000 GXE dash peice, any single din or double din radio will work.

but you have to get the pocket if you go with the single din....which I prefer, because it gives me yet one more cubby hole...
