Help...I am really needing some OPINIONS

Hey Guys,

As an owner of a Auto-02 SE, I love the car but have been wanting a Stick since I bought it. My Commute has permanently changed so a Manual is now an option.

Here is my delema:

2001 Ann. Edition. 14000 miles Grey/Grey- $20,583

or

2003 Titanium Edition 6Sp, 22K miles Grey/Grey - $22,986

The 01 looks like it came off the floor. Absolutely amazing. It came off lease from a Guy who A. Bought a New 04 Max, and B has all the Maint records from that Dealer!! Both cars are at a Nissan dealer that my buddy works at. He is pushing me towards the 01, but I am used to the power of the 3.5.

How does a 5sp 3.0 do compared to my Auto. (Both Stock and future mods are not considered at this point.)

Thanks Guys,

Joe

test drove a 2000 stick, not as fast as my 95 5 speed. test drove a 2002 6 speed, bought it in 5 min. your budget will allow a 2002+ 6 speed so go for it and you will never look back.

I have an '01 5-speed and I had an '03 previously (until it was stolen) and the '01 will not touch the '03.

Go for the 03, you should be able to get at least $2000 off that price.

Before I purchased my 03 with 23K on it I test drove a wonderfully immaculate 01SE. IF you are into driving as you must be wanting the stick and all ... go for the 03 you will not be sorry. After driving the 03 the 01 will seem like it's running on 5 cylinders (no offence 01 guys). The price is a bit high but from what I understand the 03 Titanium stick is rarely available for resale. One thing to watch for on the Titanium vehicle is this ... as you may know the wheels on this car have a special finish that must never be cleaned with a chrome or wire wheel cleaner.... it will eat through the clear coat and add black splotches to the wheel almost like a black fungus and unfortunately this will not be covered under waranty. You must use an aluminum wheel cleaner. My Black Max has the Titanium option and came with the special finish wheels but I have the splotch problem from the previous owner. just check out the wheels carefully & enjoy!!

That's why I chose an new '03 over a used '01. I thought the '03 would do a better job of keeping me out of trouble.

I murder all non-3.5 liter maxima's as well as 3.5 maxima's on auto... The 2003 is cleary the one to chose. The price is high, but if it is fully loaded without nav, and it has an extended warrenty then its a pretty good deal....
