Post Springs Install Question

When I turn the steering wheel when car is moving slowly, sometimes I hear some popping noise coming from the front. Where is that noise coming from? I never had any noise problems before when I installed aftermarket springs.

Was the spring intstalled correctly on the perch's? Maybe it has come loose and when you turn the wheel, the spring is turning as well and poping out out or into that perch.

Re-seat the springs on the strut and the noise should go away if you do it correctly. Good luck.

I made sure 3 times that the spring was well seated on the strut before I uncompressed the spring.

Man...........I just got a wheel alignment too

I haven't had any problems going back and forth between my Eibach and Teins using same bumpstop.

When you put the springs in did you make sure that the "OUT" stamped in the tophat was pointing away from the car. When I put H&Rs in my 01 SE mine made a popping noise when turning. When I went back in to put my struts in I noticed the "OUT" stamping was pointing back toward the firewall. I put it back in correctly and everything is quiet now.

Yeap. Problem went awayafter I've put some miles on my springs. Springs just needed to settle.
