Cleaning the Dash

I am new to the site and just wanted to say whats up and that I enjoy all the info and tips.

Now I have a question. Anybody have any suggestions on what to use to clean the dashboard. I have tried Armor All wipes, but they don't seem to work very well and they seem to dry it out. Thanks.

I don't like glossy dashes at all, so I rarely put anything but a nice polishing cloth to get the dust off the dash.

California dash duster, couples times a week keeps the dash looking good

Just clean it with basically any upholstery cleaner sprayed on the towel rather that directly to the dash and for the nice wet look use a sponge sprayed with wet (for tires). That does the trick for me.

Not being one to use any "cleaners" unless they are really needed, I have done nothing so far but wipe it down with a damp cloth. Still looks like new. My buddy uses Armor all on his and it actually looks all blotchy now. I tried to tell him, but NOooooo! Stick to the basics...

I don't like the shinny look either. I use swifter wipes like you use in the house. They make one that has a handle on it. That's what I'm using now but I can't remember the name of it. They do a good job of picking up dust and don't leave lint.

problem is, without some sort of UV protectant, any dark dash will eventually fade, especially if you are in a warm climate....

I use Meguiar's Gold Class vinyl/rubber protectant on my dash every now and again

303 Aerospace protectant is a popular choice among detailing enthusiasts. It provides superior protection to Armor All and has a matte finish.

If there is stuff on it. Actually a good cleaning technique is water and a towel. and just the right amount of scrubbing. Then use a vinyl dash cleaner. i had crud on my 2k max that was all over the plastic and dash that was white and couldnt come off with any vinyl cleaner. But water and a undershirt got it off easily. I think it was previous use of armour all
