You know, those would be REALLY cool, if they weren't illegal. The site says: "Note: not all products featured are legal for use on public roads in some countries, states, or localities. Please check with your governing agency for specific information.

Due to recent regulatory developments, DOT/NHTSA will panalize the use of HID Retrofit system on highway or public road in USA. Please contact us for additional information.

ProXenon does not endorse any illegal use of the HID conversion kits. All of the kit components are top quality and are certified by the Department of Transportation but are not certified as retrofit."

It also says: "For the ultimate show car and race car lighting only. Retrofits are simple plug and play replacements for stock halogen bulbs. For show competition and racing use purposes only due to extreme light output".

The "Off Road" part is referring to non-public roads, aka Race tracks and the like, not necessarily a dirt road.

You know, you lose light and visibility going above about 5,000K or so. Daylight on a clear day is about 4,900 - 5,000K. Anything above that the light starts looking blue, and then eventually purple, and its solely for aesthetics - the light being emitted onto the road surface that your eye can pick up is actually LESS.
