when I put my high beams on the fog lights turn off, what is the best way to rewire or maybe just do something with the fuses so they stay on with the high beams?

 

I dont think you can. Every1's ride does that. You can re-wire the fogs to go on w/o turning the headlights on, but I havnt seen any1 figure out the fog lights going off with the high beams on.

 

i dont think its a good idea. They were meant to do that becuase the high beams need juice to power. keeping the fogs on might blow that fuse. too much current......

 

Because if you turn your brights on with your fogs you run the possibility of burning up the wiring or starting a fire. Ask GM, this was happening with the 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix. Its a safety feature and I laugh every time someone does this to there car. I almost burned up my wiring harness buy putting PIAA bulbs in my fogs, instead they blew and saved it. Just plain stupid to wire them together in my opinion. Chris

 

It's wired that way stock, because it is illegal to have highs/fogs on at the same time...so do it at your own risk I guess...

wire them to the battery and plug in a relay and a wire from the running/parking lights so they go on/off with them. or be real creative and a manual switch in between. easiest way.

 

I don't think it has to do with overloading the wiring harness. I'm not sure with my Max, but on my Volvo, the regular lights and high beams BOTH use the same 55w bulb. High beams aren't stronger, they simply are angled differently.
