What I would be EXTREMELY interested in is how we can get our guages to glow flourescent blue, like an Acura TL or VW Passat. Not the whole cluster like Indiglo...just the backlit parts. I would do that in a heartbeat!!

I hope yall realize that the gauge clusters have changed from year to year. The earlier ones allowed for you to change all the bulbs including the check engine, tcs, etc.... Now they are straight LEDs soldered to the PCB, not changeable.
The only ones I believe are changeable are the 5 that light up the rear of the gauges.

Hey BigDogJonx I am only trying to change the bulbs for the gauges not all the little things like CEL, Fuel light, ABS, and other little lights.
Then you will be fine, because I know others who have changed the Fuel, TurnSignals to BLUE, and it only works on the older model clusters. My 2k1 doesnt have that ability except the Gauge lights.

This has been talked about before. Here is a pic of the guage cluster in my 2KSE when I removed it. There are alot of bulbs back there, and are very rare to find other than Nissan. Nissan charges around $12.00-$15.00 a piece for these bulbs! As you can notice from the pic, the brown ones are needed for the "dummy lights" and the black ones are needed for the guages. The black ones are slightly bigger than the brown ones. These bulbs are a wierd wedge type bulb narrower than a 194 bulb. Some say they are equivalent to a #74 bulb. I think I heard somewhere a member tried this and the bulb did not work, because of the shape of the 74 bulb not making good contact with its connector. The bulb had to be soldered to the connector in order to work. If someone can try a #74 bulb, I like to install these myself, instead of paying Nissan all that money to replace these bulbs!
