02-obx catback exhaust

Does anyone have a obx catback exhaust the one that looks like greddy evo. I was wondering if there is a sound difference between obx and greddy evo, which sounds better and what is the big difference in those two exhausts. The obx is $150 on ebay and the greddy is like $500. If some one has any pics please post. Thanks .

I emailed the seller (i think its the same seller) with that question and he said its 2.5 inch tubing, which it should be for the Maxima. I almost bought this exhaust setup numerous times now, even placed a bid once, but i just cant put that 4 inch tip on my car. Otherwise, great deal!

I wonder if the b-pipe off of the obx would work on a factory setup. that way if i dont like the sound i can still use the b-pipe with my stock muffler

I was like the first one to pick up one of the OBX exhausts from Ebay. I bought it from some plave in NC. They had it to me within 48 hours of the purchase.

Pipes are 2.5 with a 3.5 or 4" output. I kinda didnt like the look and I thought I was getting rid of my max so I took it off. Now I am going to drop some cash back in the max and this setup will go back on.

I have been modding for years and the sound of this is great. Just like some M3's I have heard or even better reference it sounds like the Neuspeed system for the VR-6 GTI.

I am getting a stillen kit because then it will look right in the back like blackmax has up there. It needs to be surrounded and it looks good, otherwise looks like rice to me.

Performance was noticable when I took it back OFF. Before I didnt think I noticed a big difference, maybe on the highway, but after it came off I noticed the change right away. The car took longer to get up the RPM band than before.

With intake and exhaust you actually can't hear the exhaust when you are getting into it. The intake is still louder. The note is a low rumble when putting around and it sounds good.

I paid $150 on ebay for mine and it was well worth it. I have seen many catback systems and this one fit great when I put it on. I was really impressed with their work, that is why I kept it.

Seems like a heck of a deal at that price. I would bounce on it, if I needed a catback.....

Best bet would be to take it to a muffler shop and have them weld the stock muffler on the b pipe, should be under $40 if you do the removal and installation.

thomasd cook, i have sent the seller almost 10 emails asking about that product and have recieved nothing back -- i wouldn't worry about it since they're feedback is so high, i'm just glad i got my answer (2.25" vs 2.5") here from the org, I plan on buying one real soon....maybe i should post up which one i'm bidding on so we can all get seperate ones and pay less, they seem to have 4-5 up at any one time on ebay...

HOLD ON--

Are these catbacks OBX or is OBX just the name of the company they work with?

These look like a copy of the OBX catback, I don't care just want to make sure the quality is decent. (can't expect lifetime guarantee for $150)
