racing steering wheel...

I was just wondering, has anyone here installed a racing steering wheel? I was looking into getting a momo one, and was wondering what types of stuff i'll need to get it to install correctly? if i need any additional parts...

don't recall ever getting my steering wheel checked to see if the airbag was there. i'm sure if they were picky, they'd check for any lights (airbag, ses, etc..) but never did they say "ya got an airbag in there buddy". hell, half of them dont' even check your lights. then again, could be going to one of those picky inspection people. mine likes to press P really fast until the emissions part.

im pretty sure that the law states that manufacture must put airbag in. what you do with it is up to you.
i had an aftermarket steering wheel on my jeep and it was never a problem

i dunno...I'd like the idea that if some a$$ ever crashed into me, i'd have all my safety items in full functional force...

Not liking the idea of one of those Momo racing steering wheels on a maxima...maxima is too classy for that.

But if you want one, get in touch with the owners of one of the MANY riced-out Civics around here that have them......

that should be reason enough...

oh, and if you do get one, be sure to report to your insurance that you no longer have an airbag....if you don't and then get hurt in a wreck, you will get no $$ because of insurance fraud. (When you tell them, your rates will only go up a couple bucks...)
