Those would be good for winter use to combat all the snow and sand. I wouldn't mind getting a set.

stoopid question here but is it a good idea to put a floor mat over them in the winter for those of us that live in crappy climates?

I have a set of those, with indiglo MAXIMA door sills, chrome gauge rings... they are awesome in the winter as the stock floor mats don't get dirty. The rear floor mats where more of a joke, as they are about 10x15" big rectangles. I was dissapointed with the rear floor mats. I've had mine since about Sept.

Disappointed meaning they're smaller than the stock rear floormats?

Also, how do these secure to the floor, and do the front ones comes pre-bent, or do you have to bend them, and if so how does the bend hold up over time?

yes they are way smaller than the stock floor mats... securing them to the floor they give U velcro to secure em with..... problem is how do U stick glue on carpet of the stock mat ? the velcro don't wanna velcro itself to the carpet- hard to explain... so what I did is.... kinda ghetto but oh well.... I riveted the diamondplates to the stock floormats... Stockers don't move cause they have the little rubber snubbers underneath the mat itself. And since the rivets secure them to the stock mats, U can remove them with ease. When my friends saw what I got, all of them rushed out the Home Depot and made their own for way less and came out much nicer. Oh well I know next car that I'ma do- my G20 is gonna get the home brewed Diamond plates, I belive I have some pics of the diamondplates in the car, if not I will take some tomorrow as I'm getting the car detailed at work by the detailers- Gonna be sunny in Chicago this weekend- picture time.

Front mats look really nice- I get alot of comments on them, but the rears look like those cheap floor mats U would buy at Kmart- just a small plate thats like 10x15. I will bling out the ride tomorrow at work, and snap some pics of the interior.

just a question, but what's the primary reason people buy these metal floor mats? looks or function? cuz the first day i bought my car i bought this set of mats costing me about 20 bux from walmart and they work DAMN well..they get dirty with muddy salt/snow, dries up, weeks later, u can just wash it off, they look BRAND new, no joke...

on the other hand, i dont know how u guys would clean the metal ones; what with a sponge and rag? for my walmart mats, i took them out, took em to the tub, and scrubbed it with laundry detergent, and looked 100% new

actually, they dont look that bad either, i got gray ones, perfectly complimenting my interior and exterior color

i'll post pics eventually

I don't like being cheap on my car It runs only on Amsoil oil, Redline tranny fluid, Motul brake fluid..etc. everything has to be perfect.. I got them cause they set the mood right sorta speak I plan on adding some black lights under the dash to light up the floor a bit. I'm not big into rice- my car has no body kit, its lowered on Ground Controlls and Konis- so its not rice, and my wheels are lightweight RPO1 Enkei on Azenis Falkens. but as U can see it looks clean in the pic, what U see in the picture is reflection on how I feel about my car. Comments are welcomed

i didn't mean to insult or anything..personally i'd like to have those metal mats cuz it fits well with those aluminum dash kits and bezels, it's just that i'm on a pretty tight budget so i had to "settle" for the walmart mats, which aren't that bad at all

Hey guys, its weird your talking about this but custommaxima is going to be coming out with ones that are edged with a round surrounding, so its not so sharp.

thanks

http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4287579955 Some pictures came out blurry with this weird setting I used on my camera. Its hard to shoot with the mega strong lightning in the shop enviroment. Don't ask bout the red wire...its a secrtet- one around the drivers door A pillar.

I had the diamond plate floor mats from evolution-autodesign for a week. The front ones looks ok, not a perfect fit, but ok. Especially with blue neons. However, it gets really annoying if you drive a lot, the surface is hard and etc. I would just stick with softer carpet.
The rear ones are horrible, just some small rectangular metal plates.
So i see more disadvantages to it than advantages.

Just my 0.02 cents.

I guess I drive alot= 80K miles on a 2.5 year old car.. I guess some like it some dont. Sometimes when I wear work boots and drive to lunch in the car my feet get tired quickly from the hard diamond plates. But it makes the car's interior somewhat stand out. I don't like much bling on the outside, but more on the inside where my eyes can enjoy the surroundings. I'm not a fan of "racing pedals" they get in the way when I drive with boots on, plus they just don't do much for me. I wanna swap out the steering wheel for a Sparco or Momo... I'm working on relocating the Cruise switches somewhere. I don't care for airbags, and I know how to dissable em with no lights coming on ever. Plus U can sell the set of bags with the SRS ECU for eassy 600-1000 bux on Ebay.
