Where can I find one?

Will there be any kind of hp gain?

Are they worth the money?

 

Got to most any auto-parts store. There will be a gain if you do the OSCAI mod (see my sig).

 

My problem is that their is no air filter part number on the K&N site for the 2001 model, but I'm guessing it is the same as the 2000 model.

 

I purchased mine from a local "Advanced Auto Parts" store. This was the second store I went to. It looks like not every store in this chain carries them.

The K&N "helper" book on the shelf didn't list the part number for my 2000. The book only went up to 1999. I asked the guy at the counter for assistance, plus the filter was way up on the top shelf out of reach. The 2001 is most likely the same size (e.g. part number).

 

they are the same as 4th gen maxima sizes (didn't nissan say they got the extra 32hp out of intake and exhaust mods?) and you don't need to do the oscai to feel it...you will feel a huge gain w/ just the k&n filter and then feel a little bit more when you do the oscai along with the k&n filter

 

I found my K&N at AutoZone for $49. The filter does help, but when coupled with the OSCAI a difference is evident.

 

what about noise is k and n a lot quieter then normal intake? is k&n and intakes ppl talk abt here the same thing?

 

import tuner just did an article on our max.. 4.0hp increase, 6.1lb of torque increase.
