I've been a passive participant on this board for about 3 weeks and this is my first post. I just got an '01 SE/AE 5-speed. Great car and I've been tweaking it ever since to make it better. The car is Majestic blue with frost leather and every option except of course the automatic. My only complaint is the hideous exhaust. The turn down tips are awful and way too quiet! Don't get me wrong I do not want that huge tip sound but something with some authority. Has anyone here just taken the muffler off completely? My buddy did it on his 96 and it was a bit much but I'm tempted to just have a couple of really nice tips welded onto the back. I dropped in the K&N and just completed the OSCAI...maybe a little more power midrange and up but nothing drastic and no big sound change. 35% tints going on Saturday morning. I painted the brake calipers red and they look great. Put 3M tape on hood from x-pel.com. Joshua Tree carbon fiber dash kit is on it's way. Anyway, thank you all for the terrific info on this board. I've enjoyed it all! I am an absolute car freak so please forgive this long post. I look forward to exchanging stories and info with you all.
