Dual exhaust... Possible??

i have the sarona rear bumper. so i was thinking about asking a body shop to add a nother whole on the left to put in a nother muffler. but there is a black box on the other side, which has something to do w/the fuel lines i think. so has anyone relocated it? what would u guys reccomend? and i dont want to get the CM Bolt on duals because they are too much $.

Thanx.

For those of you who do not know what a sarona rear looks like here is a pic:

There are some 4th Gens with dual exhaust, but its all custom. You'd have to PM 99maxima5spd, he has it done....

I'd just ask an exhaust shop if they could relocate it for ya. I'd think they could probably do it.

hey man! I have a sarona rear end and i'm doing dual exhaust setup. As for the black box i heard of people relocating it. I'm just going to fake it with tips.

I had my shop shave the two middle fins. This pic is a photoshop of what it should look like!!

here is what it would look like if someone customized the stillen rear...
I don't recommend it, it's reallly hard to work w/ polyurethane...u would have to cut out the lip, move it to the right, then cut a hole for the left side of the exhaust and make a new hole for the right side....to make it look even.

LOL yea your car is awesome! Question: Did you cut your old stock bumper to get the grill? and then cut the top of the sarona front bumper to fit it? and why are you changing the rear bumper?

Would you be running dual exhaust from the headers? or still use the y-pipe and then create a dual exhaust. If u still use the y-pipe and go dual exhaust, IMO its pointless. You will not feel much gain. NOW, if you go dual exhaust straight from each header.... well. I would love to see that.

Basically i'm just doing it for looks. Like Fezzik said you will not gain any power out of it, unless you do a true dual exhaust from the headers. What I plan on doing, is just moving the exhaust a bit father back behind the rear bumper and then create the two tips coming from the one exhaust. In your case what i've seen is some people have cut a section out of the spare tire casing and run piping through there.

oh i c so u are just running a pipe ou. i am going to do a similare thing, but i want to have 2 mufflers in the back bumper. and yes only for looks. i think the sarona bumper looks odd with just 1 exhaust hole. but the problem is how hard it would be too relocate the black box

Yes that is wht I did since the accident damaged the bottom of the factory bumper I just used the grill form the factory bumper. But I am changing that to the 2k3 grill since they do sell that by its self. (since I Have the 2k3 HID's and tails)
The back bumper is going to be grilled off to hide the muffler tip. I will post in about a month with new pics. The back bumper is the only thing that I have not majorly modded.

ok i went to a few shops they all said that they would not be able to relocate the black box. so i guess the only way ill be able to get the duals is if u go with the custommaxima bolt on flowmaster dual exhaust. does anyone have it?? or know someone who does??
