Check the For Sale forum. For the price you might have to pay at the dealer, your better off getting an aftermarket sub for your car.

bose sub part number

the part number for the BOSE sub for a 2K/2K1 is 28130-2Y900.

if you are looking for a direct replacement for the bose sub, you're pretty limited since the BOSE uses non-standard signal levels and hook ups. also, unfortunately, it's listed at $420.65.

on the bright side, for less than $420 you could go to crutchfield and buy a free-air 8" or an 8" + box, 2 channel bridgeable amp, wiring kit, and bose converter and get much better sound.

good luck!

Diddo, go to my homepage and see what you can do with the factory setup. Use the PAC adaptor to get the RCA output from the balanced Bose line level signal. Don't buy it from Crutchfield though, I think they charge over $70 for that part, we have them for $39.

The actual speaker is F***ed. I noticed this crazy rattling like last week. Even with the BASS all the way down. It seems that the cardboard material of the speaker is dislodged and hitting the metal frame of the speaker. I need a hex wratchet to take the whoe assembly apart and see whats going on in there.
