w/Data Dots, instructions how to take off headlights?

I want to install the DDE's & took off the top 2 bolts on the headlights but I had the data dots recall done and they don't want to budge. I didn't notice any brackets down near the headlight, so I don't know where to start. Can someone please e-mail me or PM me instructions on how to take out the headlights if you have the Data Dots recall done? I really want to get these things installed but just taking out the lights seems like a huge task.

Please help me out..thanks!

i thought data dots didn't install any brackets or extra screws..... sometimes it's just hard to move them... but give them a firm pull and wiggle the light around .... should come loose.... i had a hard time taking mine out for the first time cuz i didn't kno they required so much force...

You know...I thought about the exact same thing after I had my Data Dot recall done. I wanted to clear out the amber piece in the HIDs but I figured it would be impossible now.

The brackets installed during the DataDot recall relocate the HID ballast onto the bracket and bolt on to the headlight, but then there are about 3 or 4 mounting points to hold the bracket in place. Get under your car and pull back the black plastic cover which is in the wheel well but more towards the under part of the headlight (not sure on the name I'm not an actual technician but do work at Nissan Service, that piece from like the wheel well extends down to the front bumper) somewhere down there you might be able to see the bracket which bolts up at like 3 points on the bottom. I've seen the recall performed many times and it's not all that simple of a task to take off, you'll need like 3 seperate tools to get the screws and bolts off. I'll try to find out more information tomorrow from a tech. and if not maybe even get a copy of the booklet used to show the technicians how to install it.

So can I take out the headlight first w/o messing w/the bracket and then take off the bracket that way or is it a must that one take off the bracket first and then remove the headlight?

Thanks for the help YeYo & all.
