There's a few threads floating around from the past week or two about this exhaust...it appears to be just fine, 2.5" piping and stainless steel...try digging up one of those posts for the rest of the info if you're interested....

I bought one and went to have it installed today. The only problem I had was the silencer. I couldn't remove it. We tried and tried and it never came out. It sounds like a ****ed of Honda with it in. I was so upset that I went out 2 hours later and bought another one and installed it. If you are able to get it out, Im sure it will sound good, but good luck.

Bought another what? OBX?

People are happy w/ their OBX system. OBX or HKS or Greddy, you are going to get little hp from NA cars. You are basically paying for sound

The question I had is it really an OBX catback or an immatation??

It alnost looks like OBX is just the name of their partner, not the product???

Get it

If you can get if for 250 or less then get it. Best deal is under 200. I have had one for almost a year. It is fine. Compared to other systems it is a good choice and you are not paying for a name.

Mine didn't have a silencer, nor does it have a hole in it for the bolt, so my model doesn't have that option. Maybe they added it this year.

The OBX silencers are very tight. You have to use vice grips to get them out. I have one from another OBX Muffler.

Get the OBX, you will not be disapointed.

you need to use a slid hammer and some "break free" (wd-40) and smack on it a few times...when it comes out, you will be so happy. i like mine, but it tends to drone at cruise. it is very mellow compared to when my silencer was stuck. its a good product for the $. mine has shown some wear here in the salty winters of upstate ny, but i believe it will polish up well in the spring. good luck getting it out or selling it.

I got a price for a budget B-pipe from a local exhaust shop. They wanted $125 for aluminized and $225 for stainless steel. If anything it's cheaper for me to get the setup and hook up factory muffler. Was this completely bolt on. Can I leave the factory muffler if I don't like the can that comes with it?

you didnt really answer his question. I want to know this same thing. In the picture it is easy to see that the exhaust is seperated into two different portions. the b-pipe and the axle back exhaust. i would think that the axle back portion would have to come very close to running the same way as the stock axle pack portion. If not you came get almost any muffler shop to weld the stock muffler on.

I'm asking that If I swap out B-pipe can I leave the factory muffler hooked up rather than the fart can. The piping on the OBX muffler and factory muffler look as though it's completely bolt on and can be interchanged. I'm hoping to get my exhaust done this weekend. Any suugestions on what to get? What should I look for. Is it crucial that I get stainless steel rather than anodized piping?

I'm pretty sure they are interchangeable if diameter of piping is the same.

Do you drive on salty roads during winter? If you do, you should get stainless steel.

No, I don't drive on salty roads. I'm in New Orelans, it's been about 10 years since we've seen snow. The original piping to the muffler is 2.25" and the new piping is going to be 2.5". So the diameter's are not the same. Is there a reducer or will the gasket seat it properly?

You will have problems if you keep the stock rear section. I imagine back-presure issues and also poor performance. If you want to keep the stock muffler have a shop cut off the OBX muffler and put on yours.
