No and no other options. What other options came with yours?

6M HLSD, I think it's a great option, but in the snow it can get a little interesting

Mine is a pretty plain 2K2 SE. The only options were the HLSD, sunroof, floor mats and painted splashguards.
I think mine may have been a special order that someone backed out on. From what I've seen here on the org, most cars with HLSD came pretty loaded.

How do you know?

How do you know if you have the HLSD? Is there a way to check on the car if you have it?

It is an option and would be listed on the window sticker if your car has it. Also all 6 speeds with HLSD came with factory drilled pedals as part of the option.

I was hoping to find a 6-speed with everything but Nav, but had to settle for nearly loaded w/out HLSD. Hey, it was already hard enough to find what I was looking for since I wanted a silver 6-speed TE with meridian edition & black leather!

Thanks

Well, My car came with the heated mirrors, heated seats, heated steering wheel, leather, bose radio and racing pedals. So I guess it has the HLSD, but what the heck does the HLSD do for the MAX?

It provides more even traction between the 2 drive wheels, especially when cornering hard.

As mentioned a few posts above, if you have the factory drilled pedals, you have HLSD. No drilled pedals - no HLSD.

But if you bought your car used, then you can't rely on that. I would think laying down some rubber would be the best way to find out

Look at the tranny code listed in the engine bay. The HLSD tranny has an H in it somewhere whereas the one without does not.

Took a while but finally found one with it. Still don't know why it wasn't on all 6 speeds.

Mine is even more plain. 2k3 SE the only option I have is the HLSD. Bought my own rubber floor mats and painted splash guards. No sunroof, no Bose, no leather, no nothing. This was exactly the car I was looking for.

I also have a rare one, HSLD and splash gaurds were the only options. The PO ordered it specifically this way to keep weight down (sunroof for example). I personally doubt the weight would be that big of a deal for options, but whatever.

Hey aliti19 I have the exact same car as you! I thought it was pretty rare to have a 6-speed that was loaded (except for Navi)?

I bought my 2002 Maxima when it first came out. I waited 6 weeks for the first 6 speeds to be delivered. I would have had to wait another 2 months for the HLSD option.... NOT A CHANCE!!!

By the way... I bought the drilled pedals after, and installed them anyway.

Yakuza70, aliti19....ditto here. Black/Black 6-speed HLSD loaded except Navi. I also did not get the side air bags in the seat. Did either of you get that?
