As soon as I get my AC LED's figured out I'm going to tackle those lights. I think they are similar to the AC lights I am trying to find. I'm going to get the brightest LED's for that size. Then tap into the illumination ground with the proper resistor.

I think it was Kloogy who did that. I think he just did the key ring light. I have done this. The AC lights had a little blue condom on it which I removed and painted blue with a sharpie. It just made it brighter. If you look at the AC controls and the speedo lights color, they are both the same so I'm pretty sure the lights are the same way. I'll find some LED's and include it in the write-up I did for LED swap.

i did it!!
i didnt use a sharpie on the actual display in case i wanted to go back to stock.
here is what i did....
first take off the condom thing on the bulbs which give the green color. now it will have a normal yellowish bulb color. take one of the thin plastic sheets for overhead slides and cut it the size to fit between the display and the cover. color is with a sharpie (i did 3 coats). set the blue plastic piece inside the cover and put it back on. you dont need to tape it or anything. the display touches the cover so it holds it in place. i did the clock the same way. only problem with the clock is it is a little darker and hard to see, especially if the headlgiths are on because it dims. so i cut the red wire going to the clock to stop the dimming.

looks SWEET at night!!!!

i replaced the ac controls with led's...i'm tellin you...i'ts HARD as hell to do it...it's not even a clean job. it's just a small area that it's hard to solder the led's back to stock locations, all while using resistors. i ended up wiring them in parallel to my own wires and then using one of the connections to solder it all too. next i shaved the top of the led. this "scatters" light, for those that know led's. they seem to aim a straight beam, so shaving the top a bit let's it scatter around. i'm telling you, the ac controls light up 100x's brighter. i'm thinking of doing this to my extra gauge cluster as a project. we'll see what happens.

I did the conversion a long time ago, u can check my cardomain site with the www link below. but i got tired of the indiglo guages that i had on, so i put the stock ones back on/made the turn signals blue. ill c if i can actually make the stock guage color just a little bluer, if i cant then ill try and make the buttons on the cd player guage color and the lcd red to match the needles...
