loud obnoxious squealing noise..need help

i have a 01 SE with about 42k on it and recently (starting this past winter) the car has been making some very loud squealing noises..my first guess and i still think its something with the belts...i brought it to the dealer but of course they said its fine when the next morning it was back to its squealing self again..(they even kept the car overnite to check it in the cold morning) its been going on everyday now and its quite embarrassing in public...i thought it was because of the cold and/or moisture but even on a warm day it squeals. do i need to replace the belts or tighten anything? any help would be appreciated...thanks.

is it just a idle?
does the noise change or go away when you give it gas?
im gonna go with the belts slipping. get some "belt dressing" and spray in on the belts while the car is running (BE CARFUL)
this helps the belts grip better and also keeps the belts from drying and cracking.
