Does anyone know if you can replace the stock 1 disc CD/tape player and manual AC controls in a 2k2 maxima with a stock 2k2 BOSE 6 disc CD head unit with the auto AC controls?

i'll post before someone gives you a hard time about asking this.

1) the bose unit is some pseudo-preamp setup, so if you do the swap, you'll need an inexpensive Pac converter and an aftermarket four channel amp. this i know as fact cuz i've done it to my 2k non-bose.

2) swapping the manual to auto climate control is much more involved than the control cluster itself. i won't get into the details again here, but suffice it to say that many people want this mod and it has yet to be done.

 

As long it is Sing Disc Bose AM/FM/Tape/CD player, it will works 100% fine. But if you planned to switch the auto AC controls to manuals, it WILL NOT WORK (they've different module).

 

bose will work ac will involve ALOT of electrical sh*t if it is even possible.
