i have a 2k max and may just get a straight pipe instead of free flowing cat. converter. Anyone who has a straight pipe, please let me know if you felt a difference. i have an intake and y-pipe on order. I wanted to also know if getting a b-pipe adding on with straight pipe and y-pipe would make a noticeable difference. By the way, is custommaxima.com's straight pipe a good buy?

um... straight pipe you get maybe 2 hp..no difference in sound either...
intake and ypipe are probably your best mods..
unless you get a full catback straight pipe aight gonna do anything

 

I have a CAI, and a y-pipe and i got the custom maxima straight pipe and i cant really tell if it did anything but make my emmissions crappy! The pipe is of great quality though. It will work best with a cat back system.

 

straight pipe = 1 hp and loss of low end torque, and crappy gas mileage, worst mod i ever did. if u dont plan on getting a turbo or a supercharger then u wont reap the real benefits of a free flowing exhaust.
