Any idea about the quality of Champion Laborataries - Champ Oil filter ?

Am due for an oil change and my the auto shop says it will use this brand of filter.

Any experiences ?

Btw, do you guys do oil changes every 3k miles or the more relaxed 7.5k as in the manual ?

Is this the "Champion" brand like "Champion" spark plugs? I have not heard of a "Champion" brank oil filter.

I always use the Nissan oil filter purchased from a Nissan dealer. The only other thing I might use is a K&N oil filter. It is your car: you can use what you want.

I have traditionally changed my oil and filter every 3,000 miles, but different people have different opinions on this. I would not go past what the book says, though. Different people do different things, but I did drive my Mazda truck to 250K miles with changing the oil almost every 3,000 miles.
