optima battery...

hey guys, i need a new battery for my car and i was looking into the Optima batteries, primarily the red top...are they really worth the extra money?....if so, where should i go to pick one up? also, i see model #s and stuff, which one fits our cars? i checked the OPTIMA site and it says there are no available matches
thanks guys

get the red top, i just installed mine back on Monday. the car starts much quicker now and so far so good. you want to get the 75/35 red top. its a perfect fit and you will have no problems getting the cables on the posts. just make sure it has the tray on top of it since you will need to use it to set the battery on top of it.

i bought the battery from here and they have outstanding customer service!

hey thanks a lot man...i appreciate your reply
i had my mom pick 1 up for me and apparently she did pick up the correct one...
also that site has a pretty good price, but my mom got the red top from costco for ~$99 plus tax and stuff...blue tops were ~$140...pretty good prices either way
thanks again

Sears just started selling Optima Red Tops end of last year. I think they are going for $100. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I got mine at Costco.

Why dont you just bump up a few bucks and get the yellowtop....you wont regret it ...I run a big azzz system, and I drain it sometimes...just give it a few minutes and it fires right up !

my systems not too big....just enough...i didnt want anything more than i needed either....
also costco only carries blue top and red top but maybe in the future but for now i think the red top should be sufficient
thanks for the suggestion though

aiite well after a while of battling w/ the battery and cables we finally got the red top on...
i dont know if its normal but after attatching 1 terminal, and attempting to do the other, the terminal would spark and the alarm would start going off; i dont know...
but the battery itself is cool
as far as starting quicker i guess it does, i might not have paid attention to it if redstradic hadnt mentioned it

i think you're supposed to d/c negative terminal first, then positive, and vice versa when installing.
