correct gap for 2k

the engine has been misfiring a lot after i changed the plaugs. i am putting back in the old plugs to see if the new plugs are the cause or if the coils need replaced. the old plugs are gapped between .039 and .044. the new ones i gapped at .044.

is there a range for the gap?? or do they need to be exactly .044? i don't understand why she was not misfiring with the old plugs even though they were not exactly gapped at .044???

I doubt it makes that huge of a diff, but 0.44 is the right gap... I'd try to get it close enough.

Have your coils been replaced? If not, they may be going bad right now, and perhaps changing the plugs instigated them somehow.
