Passenger Window Possessed

Apparently the games have begun. Two days after bringing her home, the passenger side window is freaking.

If I put the window up all the way, it immediately goes back down about 4".
While I'm sure it's the safety system, God knows why it started now today at 5:15PM.

It there any solution other than a computer reset?

Nope. That was my first thought. Clear as a bell. Even funnier, if I do quick little pulls on the window button, it will go up a half inch at a time. If I time that right, I can get it all the way closed. If I just let it go up on it's own, or pull the button solid until it's all the way up, it goes back down that 4". Silly window.

It could be worse I guess:

Worth a shot. Wonder what other kinds of havoc that will create?
Worst case, it's going in Wednesday morning for a reset along with the Sentra the group service.

Just a side note Stupid me finally realized the window switchs are two position. THis problam is not present when I close the window using position one. It's only position two/auto that the passengert window freaks out. Go figure.

I know you can reset the ECU. What about the BCU? I would assume that is where the problem lies.

I can't quite get this to work, or rather I don't know how to tell if it was indeed reset.

Just for the next person who has this problem.
They had to pop the door panel nd reset the window motor itself.

I had this same problem myself. I brought the car in and they reset the window motor. Then the next day I went to put the window up and it went back down again on it's own. I brought it back and they re-aligned the window in the trakc or something to that effect and they told me if it does it again then they would have to replace the window motor. Luckily aligning the window or whatever they did fixed it. So don't be surprised if reseting the motor doesnt't fix it.

Cool. At least I know what they need to do. Since I just encountered the same problem.

SOB! Now my drivers side windows is doing the same damn thing today. $20 says there's a logic problem with the BCU/Motors on these models.

Even stranger for the drivers side: it works right the first time, but none thereafter until the car is restarted.

Wonder how long it takes until a TSB shows up for this.
