Does anyone have a model number for the drop in filter for a 2001 Maxima SE 20th Anniversary. I also hear that the airbox is different than normal Maximas, but similar to Infiniti's box, is it true???

Any discount websites out their that provide good service and reasonable prices on this??

Is the Stillen Front Strut Bar worth the price, and how much modification is needed?? Do you cut anything?? Bolt in???

 

IMO, yes. No modifications needed... just bolt on.

 

I have a 2001 AE with a K&N drop in Stillen FSTB and RSB.

The K&N is just drop in, same for all maximas like 95 and up. For the 2000+ make sure it comes with 2 foam gaskets that hold the filter in place. Got mine at advancedauto parts (chain store) for 39.99 +tax

The Stillen FSTB fits with no modification, just bolt on.

Not much noise. If you want noise for for a Popcharger, stillen intake or PR CAI

SI is about $170 I think. Although before you spend your money on a SI, use the search and read up on the OSCAI mod.

 

pmp...import tuner as well as some other mag (sport compact i think) say that the k&n drop in on a 2k maxima adds 4 hp to the wheels, not .4...the mag also says that they dyno'd it when they took out the filter and that added 4.4hp to the wheels from stock...a .4 hp difference between the k&n and no filter at all...that is probably where you got that # from...

drop in filter + oscai compared to a normal aftermarket intake...i've heard the k&n drop in w/ the oscai has been dyno'd to add the same hp increase as a normal aftermarket intake...however, it is much safer than an aftermarket intake...the oscai also is not much louder than stock (a little, but not much)...it doesn't give you that nice loud deep tone that the normal aftermarket intakes give

the k&n drop in is well worth the money and it adds a little bit of noise at full throttle...when you are going at highway speeds you will defenitely hear much more air coming into it
