Can anyone tell me if this is normal? On my automatic SE, I pulled out of a tollbooth in 3rd gear to teach a Jetta some respect, and the car shifts just as though I was in drive. I want to ask because I see so many AT issues (slipping etc.).

By the way, the Jetta driver had that look...

 

It just didn't shift to OD (4th) is all. It still shifts from 1-2 and again 2-3...

 

yes, i usually put mine in 2 if i am rolling less then 30 mph to start.
