NooB Needs help with simple task

NooB Needs help with simple task

Hey guys. I'm trying to help my cousin with her car and offered to replace her belts for free. The problem is is that i cannot figure it out. FOr the AC/Alt belt i loostened the threaded peice that looks like it applies pressure to a pulley. Then am i supposed to loosten the nut on the idler pulley too? Help! thanks

lol, thanks for the offer. But if i cant figure it out soon they hafta come pick it up. Nice guys on this forum though!

you sure? im at home and bored. and im ALWAYS up for working on a maxima!!

My cousin does, shes actually on her way over now from springfield.

I may have stripped the nut in the center of the idler pulley though, was that bad?

is it all apart? belt off? if so she cant drive it anyway. and you have at least an hour with traffic till she gets there.
its really hard to explain how to do which is why i offered to come over and show you. just call me so i can atleast explain it to you (405)209-5079
