Hi guys, I know this must be a dumb question but when I changed my oil today, I looked under the hood and saw my 2k max's engine code being VQ30DE????

I thought the 2000 max have engine being VQ30DE-K (improved)
????where is the K?????

Or Nissan just skipped the -k under the hood????

 

we got the vq30de. no K NOOOOOOOOOOOOo freagin "k" at all.. i think thas the jap version. <sigh> sucks to be us.

 

No "K" friend. Maybe Nissan left that out like they left the gas cap holder out of the 2K sentra.

 

I think the engine computer can be HACKED like my Packard BELL! If you put in some special hack codes, you can make the car go faster!! Japanese people are smarter than all of US combind so they can hack their nissan and upgrade it to windows98SE!

Mad Max had this done awhile back on his 97 Max SE 5-speed. Increased his performance by 16 hp and torque by 22 ft-lbs AT THE WHEELS. I've seen the dyno results for myself.

I have it on good authority that this option is available for the 2K Max as well. But hang onto your wallets, guys. It costs about $1,200.00.
