I forget exactly what I paid, but I put $10,000 down, sold my '92 Eagle Talon for $4700 to recoup some of the downpayment, and have payments of $330/month.
It must have been something like $26,400.

2000 SE loaded 5sp with everything available except cd changer on Aug 1 2000. Got it for $99 over invoice. Came out to $26550 with 5yr/100000mile extended, for $650, and after adding interest, taxes, and all fees, total came out to $30110. Put down $15,000 at 4.9% for three years and $426 a month. If I waited until now, Nissan has another better financing option availble, oh well...

Car price was about $33000 CDN ($20500 US) after taxes. Put down $11000 CDN ($6875 US) and financed (not lease) the rest at 0.9% for 3 years. Monthly payment is $700 CDN / month ($435 US). Another 2.5 years to go.

I leased mine. Id never plunk over $25,000 down on a car and pay cash for it. Why, when you can borrow the money at effective interest rates of less than 5%? Keep the money in the bank in a money market and you can get all that back and then some. Or, if you are a homeowner with equity, get a home equity loan to pay for the car. These can easily be had for single digit interest rates, and all the interest is tax deductable.
In my lease, the payments are $374 a month inlcuding tax with next to nothing up front for 3 years. After 2 years or so, Ill get a new one.

I leased too
Cap Cost was something like $23K and I have a 48 lease and pay $354/mo.
Madmax2k,
Why did you put mods on a leased car?...are you planning to buy the car after the lease is up, or are you going to take the mods out when you turn it back in??.
