Kev- I thought it was kinda cheap... you figure the tires alone are $200 apiece? so the rims would only be like 100 bucks each?

Jane bought her Tantrums for $1400 (includes balance, mounting, free rotation for life, road hazard, etc.). Her's are 17X8 vs. 17X7 with Dunlop SP8000 vs. crappy Bridgestone tires. The Tantrums feel much lighter also.

Good wheels at that price can be found.

Look at this guy's past transactions: several sets of "used" Maximas SE rims, center wheel caps, Lexus caps and wheels, caddy caps.... Smells fishy to me!

It is a bit steep for a starting bid especially for ebay. And he's got it wrong, it's not the Maximas 25th Anniversary. Those tires are worth no where close to $200 each. Tire Rack sells them for $161. Still I'd rather buy a set of Dunlop or Pirelli tires @ $150. I can't wait to change mine. Something is definately fishy in my opinion .ru4rea, do u live in PA, cuz that's where he's from.

If you're from PA, then I would bid on them and win them. Then I'd go there personally to pay him (but not really pay him). Check out the rims yourself, and if they're yours, then bust out a can of whoop-***.

I just looked today and it looks like the guy on ebay is selling another set of AE rims. His other auctions makes him look a little shady to say the least.
Do you live close enough to phili that these might be your stolen rims? I would email him and ask him some quesitons like you are a very interested buyer. Check his responses.
See if you can get his name and/ or email address. Try and pin down where in Phili. Tell him you are looking at cash and are local. Should get his interest. If you suspect they are stolen I would contact the authorities.

i saw his new auction also. where is this guy getting all these rims? i live near Boston (but i grew up in PA), and Philly is five to six hrs away. as a recent victim of wheel theft, it makes me sick seeing auctions for wheels that could be "hot".
