I have a 2000 Se with the 2 tip exhaust. Is the exhaust smoke supposed to come out of both or just one more than the other?

 

should come out of both. Is smoke coming out of only one tip or something?

 

You can see it clearly coming out of one tip and when I place my hand down there I can feel it coming out of the other one by not as heavy as the first

 

I belive that the other tip doesnt open until you are at full throtle. The max has a fancy shmancy muffler. But I could be wrong. And hopefully you dont have actual "smoke" coming out of your exhaust.

 

Not actual smoke just a term so you understand. I've heard that before that both are fully open at full throttle but only one is open when the car is IDLE. Does anyone know for sure?

 

jessemcd is correct, but in not so technical terms as he's used there is a seperate chamber in the muffler that when more pressure builds up inside the muffler, the other outlet tube opens up...or something like that. But he is right.

 

So when it's sitting idle its fine that it's only coming out of one tip?

 

Yes, no issues there to worry about at all. They all do it. I've seen mine and had a buddy get in and give it gas and you can see exhaust/moisture coming out of both tips.
