Help with the SES light on an I30T

It's weird but my SES light is coming on every 1000 miles, I just disconnect the battery for some hours and the light go off, but 1000 miles more and it's ON again, what would be ? I don't want to PAY $125 dlls to my stealership just to check the codes stored on the ECU, any advice ?
By the way my car is a 2000 I30T ! Thanks !

the light came on for a reason..something is wrong.
resetting just turned the light off, it doesnt fix the problem!!!!
it keeps coming on to say "dude, you never fixed that problem! dont ignore me!"
and any autozone, etc will check the code for free

You know these threads are popping up like wildfire. Why is it people assume that we will know EXACTLY what the SES light is on for? I mean come on. There are over 100 codes. Can be something major can be something minor.

Its getting old when people ask for help. We CANT help you without you giving us more info like WHAT the code is on the SES. To find out, go to an autozone or someone who has an OBDII reader and get the code pulled. Resetting it without knowing what it is just plain wrong.
