Auto Dim mirror default setting

Does anybody know how to make the Autodim rearview mirror to default to OFF instead of ON, when the car is started?

Not possible. There is a power connector on the back of it that you could disconnect if you wanted. (However, it also supplies power for the compass, if you have that.)

That's what I thought as well, short of taking the mirror apart and rewiring the OFF button to be an ON button instead....too much of a pain.
