I drove a GT-S and it ****ed me off how weak it was till you got above 5K RPM's. Its their varible timing system. Very light but VERY small. I'm 6'1 and not surprisingly was uncomfortable. Go to this link. to compare upt to 3 cars then click on the technical specifications to see the power/ gas milage ect. Maximas kick a$$ except in weight. http://netscape.autotrader.com/resea...l?restype=used

yeah, that and you're comparing a 3.0L/3.5L v6 to a 1.8L i-4.

I know. But its their fault they made the powerplant so small. I give Toyota credit for how much they got out of 1.8L and Toyota's arn't know for breaking down either. But.... They need to bring out a new Supra. The Celica just doesnt cut it against Rustangs, WRX's, RSX's. A new [or old] Supra would compete against 350Z's, STI's and S2000's. I'm rambling now.... .Celica... Its a "good" car but not a "great" one.

IMHO - it's just ugly. Only cool celica was the all-trac ones back in the early 90s that always were used as rally cars....

A man should not drive the new Celica - definitely a chick car....

You want to lower your payment? Put some $$$ down on your Max and refinance your loan.

With the Max poor resale I don't think it would be wise trying to trade it in.

I think what NYC2SD just said is one of the best thing you can do really otherwise you will lower your car payment by what, 125$/month (a saving of 4$ a day) and somehow be frustrated of driving a inferior car not to say a POS, so there aint not deal here.

If you have a lease, give the car back and buy another same Maxima at the auction. I dont know in the USA but here in Canada at the auction a 2000-2001 maxima can be purchase for around 12-13 000$ CDN ( 8900$-9600$ US ) and sometimes less.

As for the Celica, nah not for me, too small and to weak, for the money the maxima is hard to beat.

Good luck
