Bye Guys

Hi Guys,

I haven't written much but I found 5th Generation board very informative. But Unfortunatley, My wife's Maxima was totalled in a 10 car accident on the Gothels Bridge on 22 Mar where a truck lost his brakes and smashed into my wife's Max. Great car. My wife suffered a bump to her head and now has two black eyes and my two sons were untouched. I think we will be looking a new Maxima. She is very happy surviviing the accident and thinks the car is very safe. So soon I have to change my profile. Thanks for all the information.

Glad to hear everything's ok with your family. All things considered, there are still plenty of used 02's and 03's out there. Good Luck!

ditto on what everyone said. From everything I've heard (and seen from a buddy who totaled his max and walked away with NO injuries)...the maxima is a safe car...something that gets overlooked alot....
happy you're family is ok, it's a crazy world out there!

Best of luck. A car can always be replaced. Glad to hear the family is OK. Go for a G35 as already mentioned above.

Good luck.

I just saw on the news the other night that the new Maxima 04 got one of the best crash test ratings of any sedan ever made. God bless & be safe.

Glad to hear everyone's okay. And yeah, go for the G35C. From the sounds of this thread, we'll meet you over on that forum as soon as we can afford to!

It amazes me how safe the car is considering it's lighter than most cars in its class. Even my bodyshop guy told me that the car is pretty safe.

Thanks for the all kind thoughts and advice. My wife and I went to look at 04 Maximas, 04 Mazda6 and G35s. So far the G35 is alittle bit out of reach. The Maxima is nice but they don't have a stick on the lot. The Mazda6 is affordable with 0.9 financing and $200 over dealer invoice but they only have silver. She likes a dark color car (black or dark blue) and a manual tranny. She prefers the Maxima so far so we going to have the dealer look for a car. Hopefully we could get a good deal. I'll keep everyone updated and maybe you chat again on the 6th gen Maxima board.
