Coilovers squeaking, Help!

I just noticed my rear coilovers are squeaking when hitting a bump. Is this just from lack of grease because when I installed them i did not lube them up. Could this just be simple or is it something major?

thanks again guys,
Chris

it is probably something in the install. I had noise a LONG time ago, but after taking it apart and redueing it, the noise went away.

Coilovers for the most part are noisy. I'd say the majority of guys IMO that have coilovers including myself, will tell you that they are squeaky and nosiy when you hit bumps. Just goes w/the territory I think. Performance wont be affected but the noise is annoying as hell. Taking them off to lube them may help but its a big job and may not work... good luck.

i talked to brian catts about this when i first put my coils on and he said that it is general practice, and it's a RULE that you should lube up your suspension, not just cause it looks dry. it should always be done. this will always prevent squeaky noises. some look at it as an option, he feels it more as a necessity.

I got ZERO squeaking. I dont think there is a person who has the JICs say it squeaks or makes noises. The other Coilovers are a completely different design which causes the squeaking.

lube your suspension components. I had noise issues but they are gone now after lubing.
