2k Power window problem

I've got a 2k with power windows and the passenger side window will go down but won't come up with the passenger side controls. I can raise the window with my controls but not with the passenger side. I checked the fuses and the window lock. I'm stumped with this. Does anyone have any ideas on what it might be? Thanks for the help.

Sounds like a bad switch... the connection is not being made to reverse the signal.

I agree with Pir8 97. Check the passenger door switch for proper operation. You have to use a multimeter to test it.

The actually switch that takes the window up? So I'm guessing take the door off and check it out? I'll try that tomorrow and let you know what I find out, thanks.

You're welcome. Yes, the actual switch that only works in the up position.

do not take the switch apart!!
you will have springs and ball bearings everywhere!!
use a multimeter to check it. you should see power in up and down. if up does not show any power then you need a new switch. thank god its the passanger one because you can get just the window switch. the driver side is all one unit (all windows and locks)

Sounds like a bad switch. Driver side switch is the most expensive. All other switches should run around $25.

I am having the same problem except my passenger side switches won't work at all, front and back. I hope it just needs new switches, I haven't had time to look into it. What else could it be if it is not the switches?
