Stillen Rear sway bar adj. question

Does some one have the distructions on how to adj the rear sway bar. Maybe in a txt doc or something. If its easy enough just tell me in the reply. I have the bar and no distructions! And no one answers there phone. It might be a little early there tho.

Also I would like to find out when donations will be accepted. This is a killer forum and I would like to be able to search. If all it takes is a donation I'm there! The group that takes care of the forum is doing a great job!

Thanks in advance! Revtech

BTW if anyone is looking for new toy check out this 5.0 Ranger! It's looking for a new loving home! http://www.1badtruck.com My 01 Max is the new toy so the old one needs a new home! LOL

Re: RSB... I don't recall the Stillen instructions mentioning that utilizing different holes or tweaking its location actually increased/decreased the bars effectiveness, but I have read a .org member's response that using holes closer to each other and locating the bar as forward as possible increases its effectiveness. Now that I think a bit, it seems moving the bar rearward would give the bar more leverage over the control arms and provide flatter response. Think about how you would use a long rod to pry/move something heavy. The further away you are from the pivit point, the more leverage you have over the object.

RE donations: " M A K E A D O N A T I O N

Thank you very much for your consideration in donating to Maxima.org. Our busy schedule prevents us from updating your accounts to the status of "Donating Member" so we are currently not taking donations due to the fact that it takes a lot of time to manually update the records. Sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. We will accept donations in the near future. "

Is there a way.... anybody????
inquiring minds want to SEARCH!

Fitting wrong

ok now let me get this straight. the bar loops towards the rear with the bar riding under the rear axle correct? If so something si wrong it rubs the centering link. Has anyone had to modify the brackets so they fit in a different place on the swing arm?

The Stillen instructions I received recommended using the 3rd and 5th set of holes from the front edge of the bar for the 5th generation Maxima. Using different mounting holes won't change the leverage / rate of the bar. You can slide the entire bar fore and aft (sliding the blue brackets forward or aft) to clear the lateral link. Whether the lateral link is in front of or behind the rear axle depends on whether it is an "early" or "late" model.

I do have the instructions, and can scan / E-mail them to you. Just send me a PM with your E-mail address.

I can fax the directions if needed, and you want to use the 3rd and 5th holes on the bar.
