code 304 and 1320
code 304 and 1320
Hey guys
Went to autozone because SES light was on and was having hesitation.
They gave me codes 304 and 1320.
The book did not have 1320 but he said it was basically the same as code 304.
Now can I change one coil ? And which coil is # 4 ?
I think Autozone only sells them in packs of 3, 49.99 $ for one a set at approx 150 $ Come in front and rear sets.
So how would I know which is rear and front if I were to replace a set ?
Which book would be best for giving instructions on doing the change myself ?
Thanx
Funny thing is after guy checked code, SES light remained on and half way home it went off. I can still feel the hesitation, or sluggishness in mid rpm tho

It is recommended to replace all six coils, even if the diagnostic revealed that only one of them failed.
This site, http://www.nissanx.net/tanman/, describes the process of changing the spark plugs as well as the ignition coils.

Yes, I agree. I had code 1320 with my 2000 I30 and I replaced all six coils. Got them online for $300.00 shipped. Did it myself and I am a novice (e.g. I am not exactly sure what a Y pipe is!).
The car now performes better now than when it was new! It is smooth as silk, has more power, and never pings anymore. I think those original coils were bad from day one since the car never felt as lively as my 95 Maxima and always pinged.
(This week I'll be installing my Berk intake. I may also change the MAF for the updated one since they tend to also go in the 2000s.)
