This may seem easy to any person here, but I dont have the slightest clue on how to remove them so I can install new ones. and I dont see any helpful guides anywhere. can a nice person help me with this little problem? any gestures in the right drection will be appreciated.

 

pull back the trunk linning to get access to the back of the lights.
remove the three nuts
push and pull like hell to loosen the sealent.
i pushed from the inside until it came out enough to get my fingers under the end from the outisde and then pulled it out

 

I just changed tails on my 2K2 but I believe all 5th gens are the same. There were 4 nuts on mine. I also carefully used a heat gun around the tail from inside of the trunk to soften the sealant. They came out easily after doing this.

Make sure you put new sealant on the new tails before installing them.
