Quick Question about the P0100 code = VAF

Thru a SES light today and had it read at auto zone. It said the VAF thru the code. Which is very true because after about 3500-4000 rpm the car stops pulling. Question is how dose this get fixed? Can I reset it by removing the battery or is this a nissan fix?

i think you mean MAF, mass air flow and not VAF. when you got WOT, the ecu is reading just through the maf and not the o2 sensors like it does under typical accelearation. that would explain your loss of power at 4k since under most circumstances you will be going WOT to get to that rpm. i would call up dave b tommorrow @ 888-254-6060. he always has great prices on OEM parts and fast shipping. most dealers will not sell the maf sensor on its on, they include the tube and is typically around 400. last i heard, a maf sensor was around 90 bucks from dave b. tell him you are from maxima.org.

i know that feeling. back in college, i had a 95 altima and decided to wash under the hood. i covered all the things that dont like water except the spark plug wires and turns out there was a crack in two of them. started driving down the road the car was only running on 2 cylinders, talk about something that could not move out of its own way.
