Tail lights... no way they're plug & play. The only difference between those and your originals is the color.

The HID headlights need an adapter... not the tails

Did you try to install your tail lights?

why don't you take off the trunk lining and compare the back of your old and new tail lights?

Yeah as long as the new lights have the wiring harness on them, the're plug-n-play, I order my 1st set from courtesy nissan and they had eveything, My 2nd pair I got from a dealer, but I failed to inquire about what was included and i had to end up placing a second order for the wiring.

As mentioned above, the WIRING harnesses are plug and play; the issue is if you try to re-use your old harnesses (it's the light sockets that are different; the electrical connector that plugs into the car is the same).

Yup, they are. I just installed 2K1 tails in my 2K2 last weekend. As long as you have the harness that comes with the 2K1 tails, it's plug and play....

Here's the results....

Yikes..... replace the turn signals with chrome light bulbs that give out amber light!

That pic was taken the day I installed them. I had chrome bulbs ordered but they hadn't arrived. They're in now.

I'm also going back in time too. When you say harness, you mean the parts you plug the lightbulbs into right? Or do you mean the wiring beyond that too?

By harness, I'm talking about the sockets and the wiring beyond them. The wires from the sockets terminate in a white connector. This connector plugs into the cars wiring. The directional bulb and socket are different on the 2K1 and 2K2...that's why you want the harness specific to each tail...then it's plug and play.

I just double checked and I do have the sockets, the wiring, and the connectors on the 2K1 lights, but NOT for the brake light.

However, since 00-01's use the same 7443 brake light as the 02-03's, will that one plug in directly then?

Right, the brake light is the same on both, so you should be able to use the 02-03 stuff on the 2K1 tails. You'll have to wire the lines from the brake light socket to the white connector.

I do too. Unfortunately the scratches on my bumper came from two accidents. Insanely enough, the bumper didn't dent at all...just some scratches.
