I've been thru a custom 2.5" exhaust w/ Flowmaster muffler, and it sounded nice. After my accident, I replaced the flowmaster muffler w/ my stock unit, and it was a nice subtle tone, but I started to hear it was banging around underneath. I custom made a 2.25" B pipe to my factory muffler, and its very livable. The exhaust tone has a nice growl to it, but at idle its slightly louder cause the resonator was eliminated. Definitely enhanced acceleration...If you notice on the Maxima exhaust there are crimps, and those are bad ...
-Peace

I guess $89 sounds like a pretty good bargain. If he is gonna build you 2.25" B-Pipe, I'm wondering if he's gonna cut it near the flange and weld from there. If he is removing your factory one, and building you a new one, you will need new gaskets, and make sure that the flange fits properly, especially the one that connects to the rear section and muffler. Its at an awkward angle, so find out if he is gonna cut next to the flanges and weld or if he will build you a new pipe. Seems like for $89 he is gonna cut near the flange.
