moisture in my clear lens

happen to anyone else? I got mine off of E-bay. had them on for about a month and moisture got in between the lens and the housing on my rear driver side. taking a closer look at it, i saw that the seal wasnt done very well. i had to drill a tiny hole to get the water out, and then redo the seal with silicone. Just a pain in the but.

I put mine in the oven on 150 for about 15 minutes I think, then sealed them off with silicone around the edges.

Happened to me too. I threw mine in a tupperware container with a lot of dessicant packets. In about 3 days they were completely clear. I had a lot of moisture in them though. Then sealed them with aquarium sealant. No moisture since.

Dessicant is the safe way. But you can do the oven trick. I did it setting the oven only to warm and that is about 100 to 125 in my oven. I kept monitoring it every 5 minutes until all the moisture was gone. Then I left then outside to cool to room temperature. After that I sealed them off with clear silicone on the edge where the clear plastic meets the white plastic backing around the entire lens. I have never had a problem with moisture since and this was years ago.

open it up just enough to a screwdriver or something and let it air dry completely. I left mine out for a day. Close it up and seal it with clear weather seal which can be bought at any auto parts store. No more moisture for me.
