Pepboys has a three pack of these. You can either get copper, nylon (with three raised edges) or gasket material.

I went with the nylon and haven't had any problems. The copper one is more of a washer...not the crush type like Nissan.

Is your gasket leaking or something?

Ive never changed mine on any cars Ive had.

Although, my car was leaking for like a week after I changed my oil one time. Turns out that I didnt even have the ring gasket on the drain plug. The ring fell into the oil pan and I had to go fish it out

I've used the gaskets meant for brake line to brake caliper contact (also crush type), and they do the same thing as the replacement. That might be what the ones you are referring to are supposed to be used for...
